WATER SAFETY HAWAI'I

"Keeping Hawai'i Keiki Water Safe!"

At Water Safety Hawai'i, our mission is to educate the community on drowning prevention and water safety. We are dedicated to providing high quality survival-based swim lessons to all families, including those facing financial hardship. Our primary goal is to ensure that every keiki in Hawai'i has access to these essential lessons. Through our efforts, we are committed to significantly reducing keiki drowning statistics. We aim to foster a safer and more inclusive environment for all Hawai'i keiki, while also opening the door to future aquatic opportunities.

Water Safety Swim Lessons

Audrey Harrer is the CEO and Founder of the

501(c)(3) nonprofit Water Safety Hawai'i. Growing up with the beaches and pools as her playground, she naturally was drawn to the water, water sports and water safety. Audrey is a swimmer, water polo player and surfer. After graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and wrapping up her collegiate water polo experience, she had strong desire to give back to Hawai'i keiki. This started her journey of coaching and teaching swim. She coached club swim team, water polo and taught swim lessons for programs such as: Kamehameha Swim Club, The Oahu Club, Noonan Family Swim School, Olympic Development Team, Del Mar Water Polo Club, Honolulu Water Polo, Oahu Water Polo Club and her own private lessons. She soon realized that in order to have advanced aquatic opportunities, you must first be water safe.

Over 8 years ago, Audrey started her water safety mission by becoming a Certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Instructor. Since then she has become an ISR Master Instructor and she has skilled over 450 keiki using the ISR method. Audrey has also developed her own program Water Safety Swim Lesson Program. She has over 14 years of diverse aquatic experience. Her passion lies with preventing keiki drowning here in Hawai'i and giving back her love for the ocean and water sports to the next generation. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our Hawai'i keiki!
